Wood floors are not only beautiful, but also add real value to your home. Wood flooring speaks volumes to the value and quality of your home.
The flooring professionals at Cella Design can help you navigate the numerous options and find the flooring choice that best suits your needs. If you are considering hardwood floors installation in your home, it is important to determine what type of wood floor will best suit your needs, solid hardwood or engineered hardwood. While both of these products are real wood they are surprisingly different from one another.
When several hardwood layers are laminated together, this forms an engineered wood floor. You can use these anywhere in your home. Shifts in humidity, which can be a concern with solid floors, are less of an issue since the layering of wood in an engineered floor reduces any expansion or contraction of the planks. Engineered wood floors can be nailed or stapled to a wood subfloor or glued down to a wood subfloor or concrete slab. Because of this they are ideal for slab or basement installations but can be used in any room in the house.
